What is GRC Connect and how can I co-lead an Executive Think Tank, an Industry Cluster or a Special Interest Group (SIG).

GRCme Brain Trust partners are ideally positioned to co-lead an Executive Think Tank, Industry Cluster or Special Interest Group using GRC Connect. GRC Connect is our Professionals’ Networked Community (PNC) platform which is based on Yammer Enterprise (Yammer is a Microsoft company).

The reason why your leadership is so important is twofold.

First, it drives substantial brand visibility and second it provides an ideal way for GRCme Brain Trust partners to link their analytical models with crowdsourcing” (i.e. data collection) which draws Members to your solutions and prepares them for use of the model in an industry benchmarking context.

Second, GRC Sphere has designed a federated industry benchmarking architecture which allows any consultancy to manage their own client base of industry benchmarking customers yet GRC Sphere rolls up the aggregated global industry benchmarking data and ensures that no customer data is contained in the aggregated and rolled-up data feeds.

We will then return peer average and best-in-class industry benchmarking data to all our members who are a part of the Executive Think Tank, Industry Cluster or Special Interest Group (SIG) for which the industry benchmarking pertains.

How can the GRCme Brain Trust help me to find customers?

Our Members are always looking for guidance on how to tackle GRC problems and challenges. Because their need for GRC education is so strong, we have designed a unique 5 step GRCme educational process that you will want to take advantage of.

...

Step 1: Define the Problem.

Define a GRC problem or challenge that needs to be solved. What are some symptoms of the problem or challenge in the “as-is” environment?

...

Step 2: Define the End State After the Transformation.

Define the end state after the problem or challenge has been addressed. What has changed in the “to-be” environment?

...

Step 3: Validate that the need for change is real.

Provide a validation tool that confirms that the prospective client has an issue that needs to be addressed. The types of validation tools that our Members are especially interested in are prescriptive or analytical models. The following model examples are important in attracting prospective clients to your firm. Plus, we will feature them in our Video-of-the-Week “edumercials”:

  • Strategic Value Assessment (What’s the strategic shareholder value in dollars and cents once the problem is addressed?)
    ...
·    Control Self-Assessment or Survey – What are the key questions that help to validate that the prospective client’s problem is real and needs to be addressed? What’s the risk if it is not addressed in a timely fashion? CSA’s are a top tool for attracting prospective clients because they are like a quick and mini audit!

...

·    Readiness Assessment – Does the prospective client have all their ducks in a line before the issue can be addressed?

...

·  Cost : Benefit Analysis – To what extent does the cost investment in solving the issue return hard and soft benefits? Nail down the benefits and the strategic value in real dollars.

...

·  Decision Support Models – Decision support models are especially advantageous for your prospective clients because they can be used to formulate complex strategies and risk mitigation plans. Plus, DSS models are the de facto standard when it comes to comparing products / vendors competitive assessments or granular GRC software application scorecards.

...

·  Financial / Benchmark Models – Are there any financial or benchmarking types of models that aid prospective clients in selling the project or program that requires your firm’s help?

...

·  Other Prescriptive Models – Our Analytical Model Exchange defines 12 categories of analytical models that address all functions, roles and commonly encountered problems or challenges. These assets will attract prospects especially when you use video clips to market the models.

...

Step 4: Lead the prospective client through a series of pre-planned educational events. – Each GRCme Brain Trust Member has access to their own GRCme Scheduler which allows them to schedule free or paid educational events such as meetings, workshops, exercises, audit prep discussions, self-paced courses, coaching / mentoring sessions and any other large group or small group type of educational event. The process starts with a video-of-the-week and moves the prospective client through your educational / sales and marketing path that helps them to address the problem that was defined in Step #1. For paid events, Members use our GRCme Unit Credits.

1 GRCme Unit Credit = $10

...

Step 5: Sell the Product, Service or Course
– After you have brought the prospective client through your pre-configured educational path, they will be ready to buy. You can now consummate the consulting engagement, product demonstration / assessment, self-paced course, etc. to rack up a customer win!
